The South African Suzuki Association is pleased to offer Suzuki Teacher Training to violinists and cellists. Our Teacher Trainers, Christophe Bossuat (violin), Karen-Michele Kimmett (violin), Lee Marais (violin) and Ruben Rivera (cello) are Teacher Trainers for the European Suzuki Association. Acceptance to the Teacher Training is subject to an audition video. Each level requires participation in three modules, coursework, to be completed between modules, and an exam. Please enquire regarding our scholarships. We welcome all qualifying violinists and cellists to join our growing community and share the beauty of music and heart with the children of South Africa. Benefits of studying the Suzuki Method
- An in-depth understanding of every aspect of teaching a musical instrument will be studied. This covers all technical aspects of playing and teaching an instrument, as well as psychological aspects of teaching, practical aspects of running a studio and social aspects of working with other teachers.

Refresher Courses
Teachers who have successfully passed any level of Suzuki Teacher Training are invited and encouraged to attend a course as a refresher. One day is free of charge. Any more than one day is a flat rate of R1000, payable to SASA. As per ESA rules, no teacher may attend a training session of a level they have not yet completed.
